Remarkable heads into EuropeMonday 17 May 2004
Innovative green stationery company Remarkable is set to expand its sales into Europe, following strong performance and widespread acclaim in the UK.
The company won numerous environmental awards for the ‘Remarkable Pencil’, which is made with the waste of one recycled plastic cup. Since then, Remarkable has established itself as a leading green manufacturer with a range of mouse mats, pens, notepads and other products, all made with recycled materials.
“All companies now have a need to look at their purchasing habits from an environmental point of view and Remarkable is one of the world’s best examples of a company producing fascinating, innovative and price-competitive recycled products,” said Julian Selby, the company’s newly appointed European Promotional Sales Manager.
In producing its products, Remarkable recycled over 50 tons of tyres, 4 million plastic cups, 100 tons of paper and card and 20 tons of computer printer materials. The company’s clients include Sainsbury’s, Tesco, BBC and green groups Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace and WWF.
